Oberlin College 

 

Graduate Intern for Civic Engagement, 2014 - present

  • Hire, supervise, and evaluate a staff of four students for the Community Service Resource Center: responsible for outreach to students and connecting students to community partners with need.

  • Recruit over 40 Winter Term projects from community partners for 110 students to fulfill the Winter Term credit requirement.

  • Integrated Get Connected software into operations regarding Winter Term.

  • Coordinate the four week long Winter Term Workshop Series and sponsorships of more than sixty community-engaged Winter Term projects within the Bonner Center for Service and Learning.

  • Manage major events for the Bonner Center for Service and Learning: Open House, Fall and Spring Connections Fairs, Winter Term Celebration, and End of Year Celebration.

  • Participate in the on-call rotation through Residential Education, attend On-Call Meetings and confer with the Dean-on-Call.

 

Advisor - Immerse Yourself in Service, Fall 2015-present
  • Develop position descriptions and facilitated elections for an alternative break student organization.

  • Support two alternative trips to Detroit, MI and Maryville, TN.

  • Establish reflection practices, emergency procedures, and policies for alternative break trips.

  • Create agenda and materials, and facilitate leadership retreat.

  • Organize timelines for planning alternative break trips, and delegate tasks.

  • Write syllabus for a course, Alternative Break Pre-Departure, through Oberlin College’s Experimental College for participants of alternative break trips.

 

Summer Practicum - Career Center, Summer 2015
  • Created the Summer Experience Survey using Qualtrics software, to be sent to all Oberlin students.

  • Shadowed appointments regarding resume writing, networking, interviewing, and strengths/interest surveys.

  • Conducted meeting for resume review and networking with Oberlin alumni.

 

Colorado Mesa University ​

 

Residence Hall Coordinator, 2011-2014

  • Selected, trained, and supervised staffs of 7 and 8 Resident Assistants for a suite-style building of 280 residents, and traditional building of 200 residents, respectively

  • Presented for fall and winter training and in-services on topics such as mediation, gender diversity, power of language, resume and cover letter writing, and policy enforcement.

  • Managed administrative tasks for opening and closing the hall and room changes.

  • Advised the Residence Hall Association, conference delegations, and all-campus programs.

  • Adjudicated conduct cases.

  • Served as chair for the Hall Coordinator Search and Affirmative Action Representative for various searches.

  • Opened Garfield Hall in its first year of operation, coordinated maintenance concerns with construction company.

  • Co-coordinated student staff recruitment, selection, and training for Desk Attendants and Resident Assistants.

  • Created uniform mailbox notification system for all residence halls.

     

Whitman College

 

Resident Director, ​2008 - 2011

  • Selected, trained, and supervised staffs of 3 Resident Assistants for buildings of 140 and 95, respectively. 

  • Hired and supervised three Student Academic Advisors. 

  • Supervised all-campus programs such as Prentiss Surprise and Haunted Hospital.

  • Facilitated the Gender and Sexuality Workshop for first years in Prentiss Hall and North Hall.

  • Assisted with RD Search, Family Weekend, and Welcome Days.
